Get connected

Regular programs

We believe faith is something we live out together, not alone. Whether you’re new to ETCBC or have been around for a while but are ready to take the next step, we’d love to help you find ways to connect more deeply.

There’s no one-size-fits-all approach here. People connect in different ways, through conversation, prayer, service, shared meals, or questions and learning. However you show up, there’s space for you.

Small groups

Small groups are where community becomes real. These gatherings create space for people to share life — the joys, the struggles, and everything in between. It’s where we can be honest about who we are, be accepted as we are, and grow together in faith.

Each group looks a little different, but all are centered on connection, conversation, and learning to live out our faith in everyday life. Whether through Scripture, prayer, shared stories, or simply showing up for one another, small groups help us stay rooted in community and in Christ.

For more information on small groups including times and location they meet, contact the English Ministry Committee (emc@etcbc.org).

Community potluck

Once a month, we gather for a shared meal where everyone is welcome. It’s a space to eat together, connect with others, and build relationships across generations and backgrounds. Whether you’ve been part of ETCBC for a long time or are just getting to know us, this is a great way to experience the heart of our community.

We believe that something sacred happens when people share food and stories around a table. It’s one of the simplest and most meaningful ways we practice community.

Our community potluck takes place at 6 p.m. in the Atrium on the 4th Sunday of every month. Just bring yourself and maybe something to share, if you’d like.

Young Adult Fellowship

Our Young Adult Fellowship is a space for university students and recent grads to build meaningful relationships, ask hard questions, and explore how faith connects to real life. It’s a community of people in a similar season: navigating studies, entering into careers, making transitions, and asking big questions, seeking to grow together.

It’s a place to wrestle with faith in the company of others, and to discover together what it means to follow Jesus faithfully in the midst of change. This group offers a chance to connect, belong, and walk alongside others on the journey of faith.

Currently, the group meets bi-weekly on Friday evenings at the church. Contact Pastor Willi (willi.loo@etcbc.org) for more information.

Sunday lunch

At ETCBC, our gathering doesn’t end when Sunday service does. Most Sundays, groups of people continue connecting over lunch. Whether it is through sharing takeout in the church or heading to a nearby restaurant together, food has become a simple but meaningful away for relationships to grow.

Whether you are new or have been around for years, you’re welcome to join this open rhythm of the community.

Group of people exercising outside

Hash run (Sunday workout)

Hash Run is a workout group that brings people together for movement, motivation, and mutual encouragement. Whether it’s using bodyweight, lifting weights, or going for a run, it’s less about performance and more about taking care of our bodies, our health, and each other.

All fitness levels are welcome and there’s no pressure to keep pace. It’s a great way to care for the body while building community along the way. While typically geared toward adults, on certain occasions, family friendly and age-appropriate workouts are facilitated.

For more information on when these sessions happen please visit the bulletin or contact Alvin Vane (alvin.vane@etcbc.org).

Softball (summer)

Softball has been part of our church community for decades, a tradition that’s brought people together across generations for friendship, fun, and some competition. Each summer, we continue that tradition by joining the Christian Community Softball Association (CCSA), typically fielding multiple teams in both the junior and senior divisions.

Whether someone’s been playing for years or is just stepping onto the field for the first time, it’s a great way to build relationships, enjoy time outdoors, and get connected with the wider church community beyond our walls.
