NextGen Ministry

Children Ministry

Our focus is on partnering with families to provide a safe and nurturing community where children can discover and grow in their Biblical faith. Our ministry connects with families whose children are from nursery-aged infants to Grade 5 students.

Our desire is for children to discover who Jesus Christ is and provide a foundation of early discipleship. We also want to empower and mobilize parents, adults and young people to be spiritual servant leaders and mentors for the children.

But Jesus said, “Let the little children come to me and do not hinder them, for to such belongs the kingdom of heaven.”

- Matthew 19:14

On Sundays, children are invited to join their parents/guardians for the first 15 minutes of worship service. Children will then be gathered at the Inner Court exit to be led to their respective rooms.

If you have any questions, feel free to contact Jasmine.

Youth Ministry

Our goal is to reach out and disciple youth, from junior high to high school to university/college grads, to equip them to grow towards a mature Christian adulthood, and develop a solid Christ-like foundation through fellowship, worship, leadership, and discipleship.

  • When: Every Friday at 7:30 - 9:30 p.m.

    Where: Atrium/Inner Court

Daniel Fellowship is ETCBC’s high school group for students from grade 9 to 12.

For generations, it has been a place for youth to grow both spiritually and relationally, as they engage in wide-ranging activities from Bible studies, skits, and discussion groups, to neighbourhood walks, media nights, and retreats.

The fellowship is led by student leaders, as well as adult leaders (Disciplers), with NextGen Pastor Janet Kwok as the head. The fellowship aims to stay connected to the greater ETCBC community, especially in relation to the youths’ parents and guardians.

  • When: 1st & 3rd Friday of the month at 7:30-9:30 p.m. Special joint event on the 5th Friday (TBD)

It is said in 1 Timothy 4:12, “Don’t let anyone look down on you because you are young, but set an example for the believers in speech, in conduct, in love, in faith and in purity”; ETCBC will surely not look down on our youth.

If you have a passion to serve in Timothy fellowship, or want more information on the program, please contact Pastor Janet for more details.

Plan to Protect

All of our children’s ministry volunteers are screened and trained through Plan to Protect, ensuring our programs are welcoming, safe, and held to a high standard of care and accountability.

As part of our commitment, we do not post images of our community’s children on our website for their safety and privacy.

Plan to Protect is a comprehensive abuse prevention program that equips organizations to create safe environments for vulnerable individuals such as children and youth. It provides clear guidelines for screening, training, and supervision, helping churches like ours build trust and operate with integrity.
